Alongside co-host Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, Alex launched the hit podcast How to Save a Planet, a show designed to make the topic of climate change fun and empowering. Alex Blumberg is the Editorial Director and Co-Founder of Gimlet Media and the Co-Host of How to Save a Planet. He was a producer for This American Life and a co-host on the hit podcast Planet Money as well as the Gimlet shows StartUp and Without Fail. Alex is an expert on blending rigorous reporting with a casual, conversational delivery to make complex topics accessible. He is the winner of the 2009 George Polk Award in Radio Reporting for his reporting with Adam Davidson for the May 2008 This American Life episode entitled "The Giant Pool of Money," which was later spun off into Planet Money.
